ICT20315 – Certificate II in Telecommunications Technology
The Telecommunications industry is constantly evolving; new technology is impacting on our lives in ways never before imagined. It is an industry that provides us with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and from all over the world – and it will continue to evolve in ever more exciting ways.
In this program, you’ll gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of indoor and outdoor installation, operation and maintenance of domestic, commercial and industrial telecommunication equipment and products. This program suits new entrants with limited industry experience. You’ll get to do extensive practical work in a simulated commercial environment while learning the theoretical knowledge about cabling rules. You’ll also be trained to use typical commercial telecommunications equipment, in preparation for future employment.
Successful completion of a course in telecommunications may enhance your current employment and may open up new work opportunities for you in the telecommunications industry. This qualification prepares individuals for entry into the industry.
COURSE DURATION/ METHOD OF DELIVERY
The Certificate II in Telecommunications Technology is delivered over 12 months. Training and assessment will be delivered in weekly classroom sessions at the school.
