Our Charity Work

Aurora Training Institute’s main fundraising event is Ride For Love which took place in September this year, the energy on the day was incredible!

In total, the event raised $30,000 with all proceeds going to Childhood Cancer Support, keeping families together during their child’s cancer treatment in a compassionate and supportive community environment.

A big congratulations to our raffle winners including Bronte who won a brand new 2021 model Harley-Davidson Lower Rider S!

A number of Aurora staff attended the day as pillions, here’s what Mackenzie had to say:

‘My Ride for Love experience was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. I loved how supportive all the riders were and how safe they made me feel considering it was my first time on a bike. Overall, the experience was great, and I will be back again next year to support a great cause!’

A big thank you to all those involved in making this year’s event so special, we hope to see you all back again for 2022!

Childhood Cancer Support provides something that every family needs in a crisis – a home away from home for the whole family; a place where all the family can be together during a very challenging time.

Childhood Cancer Support is one of a kind – a family focused organisation offering regional families a place to call home while their child is undergoing lifesaving cancer treatment in Brisbane. We understand that families dealing with childhood cancer need access to a range of support services to help them cope. All Childhood Cancer Support and oncology families can access free services including transport, emotional support, recreational therapies and social activities.

Talk Like a Pirate Day, nationally recognised as the major fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Support, is an opportunity to polish ye hook and say “AHOY there, me hearties”. Join our crew to support families and children living with cancer.
